 *\n\n# Overview\nThis one-day course is a follow-up to the sciCORE course 
 "Introduction to HPC (sciCORE cluster)". We will focus on different aspect
 s related to the everyday usage of HPC facilities in order to enable an ef
 ficient and productive framework to develop your research. These include (
 among other topics) advanced SLURM usage\, I/O management\, and profiling.
 \n\n# Audience\nThis course is aimed at researchers that want to deepen th
 eir knowledge of the usage of HPC facilities. In particular\, those that a
 lready took the introductory course to high-performance computing (althoug
 h it is not a prerequisite).\n\n# Learning objectives\nAt the end of the c
 ourse\, the participants are expected to:\n\n* Have a good understanding o
 f advanced capabilities of SLURM. Including dependencies\, parallelism\, a
 nd monitoring\n* Know good practices regarding the data management and its
  relation with the file system. This will include how to work with workflo
 ws and the usage of Labkey\n*  Learn how to use the sciCORE infrastructure
  for scientific applications (including hands-on exercises)\n*  Know the b
 asics of profiling code and the impact of scaling\n*  How to speed up Pyth
 on code\n*  The basics of parallelize in R\n*  How to manage errors\n*  Ha
 ve an overview of online production tools such us Git\, Slack\, and Overle
 af\n*  Have some advanced tips for the command line\n\n# Prerequisites\n##
 ### Knowledge / competencies\nKnowledge on Linux operating system and the 
 Slurm scheduler. \n\n# Application\nThe course is free of charge\, but reg
 istration is mandatory.\n\nYou will be informed by email of your registrat
