DESCRIPTION:This course has been designed to provide principal investigator
 s (PI's) working in the life sciences with an introduction to the challeng
 es of working with biological data as a research leader.\n\nStarting with 
 a look at where bioinformatics and data science fits into their research t
 eams\, the course will enable PI’s to take a strategic look at the requi
 rements for undertaking such work and how bioinformatics capacity can be d
 eveloped from personnel through to computational needs.\n\nIt will additio
 nally provide guidance on strategies for managing data\, the importance of
  data sharing\; how to work with computational collaborators and what reso
 urces are available across the life sciences to support such work.\n\n**Du
 ring this course\, we will not be teaching hands-on bioinformatics analysi
 s\, but we will be signposting appropriate training resources to upskill y
 ou and your team.**\n\n**In-person course**\n\nWe plan to deliver this cou
 rse in an in-person manner onsite at our training suite at EMBL-EBI\, Hinx
