DESCRIPTION:# Overview\nR is a complete\, flexible and open source system f
or statistical analysis and graphics\, which has become a tool of choice f
or biologists and biomedical scientists who need to analyse and visualise
large amounts of data. Due to its popularity\, R is continuously updated a
nd extended with the latest libraries for data manipulation\, modelling an
 d visualisation. \n\nThis 2-day course provides an introduction to R and R
studio\,an integrated development environment for R\, in an interactive ma
nner. Participants will receive example data sets to practise data manipul
ation\, graphical exploration and statistical hypothesis testing.\n\n# Aud
ience\nThis course is addressed to beginners wanting to become familiar wi
th the R syntax\, environment\, and the most common commands to start usin
g R to explore and interpret their data.\n\n# Learning outcomes\nAt the en
d of the course\, participants are expected to:\n* use the R environment t
 o read\, understand and write R commands\n* implement a data analysis work
flow to import\, explore and summarise data\n* explore data with graphs\n*
perform simple statistical tests\n\n\n# Prerequisites\n#### ***Knowledge
/ competencies***\nNo background in R or any programming language is requi
red. If you wish to get an early start on the course content\, you can sca
n some of the R documentation available [here](http://cran.r-project.org/

s not provide training on statistics** but on how to use R to perform diff
erent tasks\, statistics being one of them.\n\n#### ***Technical***\nA Wi-
Fi enabled laptop with latest [R](https://www.r-project.org/) and [RStudio
 ](https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/#download) versions in
