DESCRIPTION:This webinar explores how artificial intelligence (AI) is drivi
ng advances in bioinformatics by enhancing the integrated analysis of larg
e volumes of genomic\, transcriptomic\, and agronomic data. In Argentina\,
where agriculture is a cornerstone of the national economy\, this converg
ence enables the study of gene and non-coding RNA regulation associated wi
th key biological processes in crops\, as well as the integration of molec
ular information with environmental\, physiological\, and productive varia
bles. In this context\, machine learning models (particularly transformers
) are applied to predict gene functions\, identify stress biomarkers\, est
imate yields\, and predict secondary structures with pseudoknots. These da
ta-driven approaches bridge molecular insights with practical applications
: here\, algorithms not only interpret complex biological information but
also contribute to the design of more efficient and sustainable strategies
for agriculture and beyond. \n \nThis webinar is part of the [“Applic
ations of artificial intelligence for biosciences in Latin America”](htt
 ps://www.ebi.ac.uk/training/events/applications-artificial-intelligence-bi
osciences-latin-america/) webinar series\, organised as part of the [Biot

a collaboration between [University of Costa Rica](https://www.ucr.ac.cr/
)\,  [CABANAnet](https://cabana.network/) and EMBL-EBI\, funded by the Ch
an Zuckenberg initiative.   \n \nPlease note that this webinar is delive
red in Spanish. Synchronised captions are provided in both Spanish and Eng
lish. We thank [Sara Chuguransky (EMBL-EBI)](https://www.ebi.ac.uk/people/
