 f health\n\nThe [BC]2 Basel Computational Biology Conference\, organised b
 y the SIB - Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics\, will host a one-day ELIXIR
  Innovation and SME Forum entitled “Building the learning ecosystem of h
 ealth: from data tracking to preventive medicine” on 13 September. The d
 ay aims to foster knowledge sharing and collaborations between academia an
 d industry around the technologies\, data science and learning implementat
 ion related to preventive medicine and follow-up treatment. The forum will
  include talks from high-profile speakers\, interactive panel discussions\
 , and selected talks from across the biomedical research and healthcare ec
 osystem.\n\n\n\nWhat to expect\n\nThe ELIXIR Innovation and SME Forum day 
 will explore solutions to understand better the different components of th
 e learning ecosystem of health and preventive medicine. From technologies 
 (hardware\, software) to data management\, data integration or analysis.\n
 \nWhat are the missing pieces of the puzzle to develop knowledge and preve
 ntive medicine? Which are the technologies\, methods\, processes\, standar
 ds needed to advance learnings about health and increase benefits for citi
 zens? What is promising? Which contributions are necessary?\n	These are so
 me of the questions which will be addressed during the day\, through invit
 ed talks\, selected presentations as well as panel discussions.\n\nThe pro
 gramme includes a discussion on solutions connecting the different compon
 ents of the learning ecosystem of health\, from industry (start-ups and S
 MEs\, and large companies) and academia in areas related to:\n\n\n	Health 
 data collection technologies (hardware and software) focusing on healthy c
 itizens and/or patients in the post-treatment phase\n	Data management\n	Re
 search or data integration and analysis\n	Converting learnings into health
 care guidelines/policies.\n\n\nWho should attend\n\n\n	Researchers in acad
 emia and industry\n	Large and small companies that develop services for da
 ta management and analysis\n	Policymakers and funders\n	Anyone interested 
 in the data-driven life sciences sector or preventive medicine\n
