DESCRIPTION:Delivered in partnership with the Babraham Bioinformatics Group
.\n\nA practical introduction to designing clear\, effective and publicati
on-ready scientific figures.\n\nGood figure design is an essential researc
h skill. Clear visual communication improves the accessibility\, interpret
ation and impact of scientific results in papers\, posters\, presentations
and grant applications. This course introduces the principles of effectiv
e figure design\, focusing on clarity\, accessibility and visual communica
tion rather than software-specific techniques.\n\nParticipants learn how t
o critically assess scientific figures\, avoid common design mistakes and
improve the presentation of complex experimental data.\n\nBy the end of th
e course\, participants should be able to:\n\n* identify the key principle
s of effective scientific figure design\n* design figures that communicate
results clearly and accurately\n* improve figure layout\, colour usage\,
typography and annotation\n* avoid common visualisation and accessibility
problems\n* critically evaluate figures used in publications and presentat
ions\n* produce clearer and more consistent publication-ready figures\n\nT
he course combines presentations\, demonstrations and practical exercises
using real-world scientific examples.\n\n\n Book this event or regist
